having just go on sell for 5 year compared to their older High Gradem Master Grade, and Perfect Grade Gunpla, Bandai was still increasing their RG Gunpla variation.
after gaining experience from the crazy Valvrave Hito Full Impact Mode plamo (reviewed later), i feel more prepared to build 1/144 Gunpla.
At first, i was going to grab the RG Exia with a 20% discount. But my hand stopped when i see the RG Strike Freedom with 30% discount. i was already amazed by his MG version when i see how detail it is on google, so i choose RG Strike Freedom as my first Bandai original 1/144 Gunpla

now let's see the appearance.. (=3=)/
i used my SHF stand because i haven't yet bought the normal Gunpla stand.. this gunpla are lighter compared to the SHF

i really loved how the frame and the armor sticker make a detailed appearance, less than PG and MG but still higher than HG. this guy come with a normal Gunpla hand,and also the one with articulated finger. I prefer to use the normal hand, because they are better for holding weapon.
While the main body's Inner frame are made from colored yellow-ish plastic, while the wing's inner frame are coated with gold chrome. they give a somewhat little bit off color contrast, but still good enough to display.
there's so many number of detailed moveable part just like MG. starting from chest pilot cockpit, leg booster, and the DRAGOON wing. Both of the Beam Saber grip can be placed on the top of the folded Rail Cannon.and then the folded Rail Cannon can be swayed to the back skirt armor to let the Beam Rifle stored on the both side of the hip.. Being able to store all of his weapon was pretty convenient (=w=)/
but his elbow movement can be easily hindered by the wing. This can be solved by spreading the wing higher, or by folding them a little bit to the back
although the left and right wing joint that connect to the middle part are kinda foldable for the more efficient hand posing, i still afraid of breaking them if i folded too much.. (=w=")
The wing's weight become the main problem if you try to stand him without any support, maybe because the leg's join are not very solid.
As for the articulation. Thanks to the inner frame, the limbs can be moved and bended freely, resulting more pose compared to HG..
Lets view the armament
The Beam Shield part was pretty awesome. It is made from clear plastic and placed with semi transparent sticker to crate the beam light effect. the red part on the forearm need to be removed before being stacked together with the shield.
Dual wielded Beam Saber are my favorite pose after the Full Burst mode. The light saber part can be plugged out from the grip when not in use. I have heard about the trick to brush the light saber with sand paper to make them look more realistic.. but i was still a beginner on that kind of stuff. ~(=3=)~
Both of them have a connector on the bottom of the grip. Both of the Beam Saber can be combined with these, forming a cool double-edged Beam Saber.
next, lets move to the artillery
As you can see, the Beam Rifle was also very detailed. They can be combined together to form a long ranged Beam Rifle.
the shoulder joint couldn't hold the combined rifle weight, so a little bit trick with the elbow are needed.

Last but not least, the Full Burst mode. By sliding up the shoulder armor, spreading the DRAGOON beam assault cannon from the wing, taking out the Beam Rifle, and Folding out the Rail Cannon, Thus unlocking the Strike Freedom's most badass mode. Here is where the inner gold frame make an eyecatching show..
The DRAGOON system was really the Strike Freedom's main attraction, all of the DRAGOON unit can be separated from the wing to make an individual flying effect. But i still need the Wing of Light effect part to do that. Ordered them some week ago, now still waiting for the release.. I will post about them when they arrive
He is the most challenging Gunpla i've ever build. But the challenge are what make it very worth.
Im still planning to buy RG Exia, Destiny, Wing Zero Custom and the latest OO Raiser. Well, i will buy them when i have enough money in the future.. (spending most of my money on anime figure.. hhahaha)
